This semester has hit me like a freight truck. It's hard to imagine I was posting five days a week during the summer. Now that classes have started It's been so difficult to find a time to blog, which is sad because it's something I really love to do. I wrote about this earlier, but I had to quit my position at my school's newspaper, The Shorthorn and have taken on a manager position at LOFT. I've been working a ton, and ended up changing my major, which I'll probably write about later on. Anyway, the point of all that is to say I'm now technically a part time student here at UTA so I should hopefully have more time to blog.
I'm going to my first ever blogging conference this weekend in Dallas. I'm really excited/nervous about it because I don't normally consider myself an outgoing person even though I can do public speaking pretty well. If you have any tips about blogging conferences please comment below, I'd love to hear about other people's experiences.
I whipped up this outfit from an old LOFT sweater I got on final sale last summer and this skort (I know, a skort right) that was on sale from this past summer. The thing about Texas weather is that it can be hot, cold, rainy and dry all in one day. This is especially true right now as we're slowly starting to change seasons. Because I normally melt while walking from the parking lot at school and then freeze in my classrooms, I've been experimenting with transitional or multi-seasonal outfits. I was considering what shoes to wear with my shorts and felt like it hit the jackpot when I tried on my boots. I've been really insecure about my legs in the past, so I like this outfit because it draws attention to a part of my body I'm starting to feel more and more confident about. (P.S. I definitely stole my boyfriend's black dress socks to wear with my boots, we're going to be fighting to wear his socks this fall.)
I've been on snapchat and Instagram a ton recently so even though I'm not updating every day you can sill see what I'm up to day to day.
